WHAT IT IS
The Business Brickyard Training program is a yearlong, intensive undertaking that builds your business’s core strengths from the inside out.
The backbone of our strategy is made up of the twelve “bricks” outlined in Howard Mann’s book Your Business Brickyard. Together, we develop each brick – such as “Reconnecting with your purpose,” “Lose your nemesis,” “Escape desk gravity” – and build a storm-proof foundation for your business. Rather than a cookie-cutter process, we align your bricks in just the right way for your business alone.
By the time the year is up, you will have a clear understanding of exactly what your business does better than anyone else, why people should care, and exactly how to become famous for exactly those reasons.
The basic bricks may not seem sexy, but they always work and they always will. If the basics are not right, building your business is like building a skyscraper on quicksand. The basics demand the lonely work that will give you a lasting advantage.

Think no-frills, results-oriented gym in the basement rather than some glitzy spa. Brickyard training means hard work, sweat, striving, and dedication. It’s not for the feint of heart.
As we have said before, our approach is not fad coaching. The quick, formulaic phone calls of standard business coaching may be momentarily inspiring, but it’s all too easy to slip back into the old routine. Coaching fails because both sides are not accountable to see it through. Both sides have to want success and be willing to fight for it. Following the Business Brickyard process, we start by defining the basics and core purpose that matter to you and your business. From there, we set skyscraper goals and work backwards to what has to happen in the days, weeks and months to come. Your business purpose will create the focus to your marketing and innovation initiatives. You will join an elite few who know how to get the key basics of their business done with perfection. We have two to three set phone consultations each month (with many emails in between) where we will continue to adjust and push. Your business problems become ours—expect them to be gone by the time we are done.
We always start with the steps needed to create a rock-solid foundation and then move to the “how” of building off that to achieve your specific business goals. We completely change the possibilities for your business. You will see the clear results in your cash account.
How do we deliver value you can count on? You make a one-year commitment, and if we do not hit our agreed-upon goals, then the last three months are on us.
